      Gore-Tex: Which version is best?

As the leader in waterproof protection, GORE-TEX offers a line of durably waterproof, totally windproof, and reliably breathable outerwear technologies that meet the demands of winter conditions and activities. Do you know the different versions found across the winter garments?

      GORE-TEX PRO
The most rugged GORE-TEX technology, GORE-TEX PRO, is made for extreme conditions and the most demanding activities. Rigorously tested - from simulated downpours in the rain room to field trials with athletes - its abrasion-resistant and snag-proof 3-layered system features a tough outer fabric treated with DWR, the innovative ePE membrane, and a durable inner backer. All working together to provide breathability, elite-level waterproof and windproof protection, and confidence in unforgiving conditions. Serving as the go-to gear component of choice for winter athletes and mountain professionals.

      Gore-Tex

      GORE-TEX Performance 3L
The GORE-TEX Performance 3-layer is designed for individuals seeking versatility without sacrificing the waterproof and windproof protection, durability, and breathability GORE-TEX is known for. Its bonded 3-layer construction - a durable outer fabric, waterproof and windproof ePE membrane, and inner backer - works as a single system, resulting in a garment that moves naturally with the body and is ideal for dynamic winter pursuits like freeriding, hiking, and mountaineering.

      Gore-Tex

      GORE-TEX Performance 2L
Completing the GORE-TEX outerwear lineup is the GORE-TEX Performance 2-Layer Insulated system built for everyday comfort and versatility. It features a durable DWR treated abrasion-resistant outer fabric bonded to a waterproof and windproof ePE membrane, along with a layer of insulation, and an inner liner suspended freely between the membrane and body. Keeping you warm and protected for daily winter wear in lower-intensity conditions year after year.

      Gore-Tex

With several waterproof/breathable options from Gore-Tex, there is a technology and price point to meet any budget. The choice as to which one is best for you really depends upon your technical requirements and what your budget is. No matter which choice you choose, you can rest assured that the fabric is "Guaranteed to keep you dry".
