Finding the right Binding for my boyfriend
Hey hey,
I would like to buy a binding for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. He is pretty good in skiing and has a Salomon QST 106 for the powder-action. But he is new in touring and hiking with these skies (and with his apline-schoes).
I have found three used bidnings in the internet-market and just can't decide which one to take.
1. Salomon Guardian WTR 16
2. Head Tyrolia AAAmbition 12 AT
3. Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro 90
Can anybody please give me a little hint or tip which one would be good for him?

The Salomon Guardian WTR 16 are super heavy for touring but a solid binding if you are going frame touring bindings which all of your options are. The Head Tyrolia Ambition 12 AT are more plastic and less beefy but also less weight while the Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro 90 is a pretty commom binding that lots of backcountry skiers are still using as Fritschi Diamir pretty much owned the space for many years.

The decision really is one of weight and skier type, how much does he want to carry uphill and what kind of skier he is. Aggressive and strong, go for the Salomon. More intermediate and wants to go for longer days then the Fritschi or Tyrolia.

I think he is a more strong skier and his focus is in downhill and not hiking. it is just that he wants to try hiking/touring.
The salomon guardian is pretty cheap compared to both others (in the second hand market). I think I will decide for that one ...
