New Spring 2026 Hiking Apparel from Outdoor Research

Outdoor Research has a heap of new apparel for Spring 2026, and two of our favourites are the Timberline Utility Pant and the Astroman Short Sleeve Sun Shirt. This pant and shirt combo is perfect for outdoor adventures like hiking and camping, while still being refined and non-technical enough to wear to work or around town.

The Timberline Utility Pant is made from a stretchy, durable, and water-resistant bluesign® approved fabric that moves with you, making it incredibly comfortable and versatile. Some of the top features of the Timberline Utility Pant include double-layer fabric at the right-hand pocket for carrying a jackknife and a hidden right thigh security zippered pocket.

The Astroman Short Sleeve Sun Shirt is Outdoor Research’s best-selling lightweight, technical sun shirt, named after the legendary route in Yosemite Valley. It’s built with the brand’s AirVent™ technology and provides a UPF rating of 30–50+. The fabric is lightweight and breathable with a relaxed fit, making it ideal for hot summer days. Made from bluesign® approved recycled materials, the shirt also features built-in movement-mirroring stretch that makes it exceptionally comfortable and breathable. A hidden chest pocket and snap-front closure give the Astroman Sun Shirt a clean, simple aesthetic.
