This years line up of events is huge, from photo clinics to film & photo nights, demo days to on hill backcountry clinics. THE DETAILS
The remarkable convergence of international adventurers, pro photographers, filmmakers and a cast of vibrant Kootenay characters, better known as the Gathering, is back in Rossland for a 5th year, March 25-31, 2013. Organized by RED Mountain Resort, The Gathering is a community festival celebrating mountain culture, adventure and experiences through storytelling and sharing.
New this year, The Gathering is offering free on-snow events and clinics for the public at RED. Saturday’s Matinee events include the opening of Rossland’s Ski and Mining Museum and an exhibit in the Rossland Art Gallery.
Friday and Saturday All-Star Film and Photo Nights showcase incredible presentations from The Gathering’s guest presenters. Both evenings are hosted by the Red Mountain Racers, are open to every one of all ages and will be held in the auditorium of Rossland Secondary School. Emceed by Mitch Scott, Senior Correspondent with Powder Magazine and publisher of Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine, both nights will feature a talented line up of entertaining presenters.
