Arc'teryx Procline Hybrid Hoody and Procline FL Pants
We are very familiar with the Arc’teryx ski touring line of apparel and are often amazed by the company’s ability to introduce new items that we can’t imagine doing without. The Arc’teryx Procline FL Pants and The Arc’teryx Procline Hybrid Hoody fit the pattern.
If you’d like to see a sampling of other Arc’teryx products we’ve looked at over the years, here are a few: Arc'teryx Sphene jacket, the Fission SL jacket the Atom LT jacket and we’ve also tested gloves, including the Cadens. All of them seem to have that Arc’teryx special sauce: good design, top-notch materials and just the features you need—nothing more.

The Procline series is focussed on ski alpinism, which is a combo of skiing and mountain climbing. The kit is relatively close fitting and has features that allow for harnesses, packs and other ski alpinism-specific gear. I’d be lying if I said I was a ski alpinist and, to me, these pieces work super duper well if you mostly ski tour and never get harnessed up for a rapel.

Arc'teryx Procline Hoody
The Procline Hybrid Hoody is a mid-layer or warm weather top. It's not suitable for colder days (and this is unlike the FL pants, which work in all but the coldest conditions). As you can see from the pics, the jacket is pretty tight fitting so it fits well under another jacket, like, say, the Arc'teryx Sphene Jacket we've also reviewed.

Verdict:
What's one way to determine which items in your kit are your favourites? The answer comes at packing time before a trip. The Procline Hybrid Hoody and Procline FL pants enjoy top billing in my hut trip ski duffel. They are comfortable, high-performance, stylish--and at the same time simple. We have reviewed many Arc'teryx items on the site and the only factor that is not near-perfect on some models is fit (and that's subjective). The fit of these two items is excellent.
